RIYADH, Oct. 15-- Saudi Arabian king on Sunday thanked Turkish President in a phone call for welcoming the kingdom's proposal on a joint working team to investigate the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Saudi Press Agency reported.
During the call, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed his keenness to maintain good relations with Turkey and asserted that no one will affect the strength of the relationship between the two countries.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also expressed his appreciation for the close bilateral relations and their peoples and is keen to strengthen and develop them.
Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi has been missing since Oct. 2 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
The case attracted the world attention with allegations that Khashoggi might had been killed or arrested inside the Saudi consulate, which had been dismissed by Saudi Arabia.
