The PlayStation 4 is targeted by a wave of malicious messages that has affected several users, according to reports from the specialized site Engadget. And the solution, it does not like the players.
Several users have received messages on the PlayStation Network (PSN) with shady characters that would derail their console. The best way to get by when touched? Reset the PlayStation to the default settings; the factory settings.
It was on Reddit that unlucky users initially gave details of the situation, also sharing screenshots. It is strongly advised to completely disable the messaging system, but, as the Gamejunkiey user indicates, a simple friend request containing the malicious message could cause the same problems.
This means that the mere receipt of the malicious message in question - without even being opened by the user - is enough to affect the operation of the console.
Sony has still not announced anything about it, but the company that produces the PS4 may launch an update to fix this problem soon.
